Treasurer

Duties:

  • Maintain the financial records of the SLCCO, Inc., in sufficient detail to meet both State and Federal financial reporting standards.
  • Be a signatory to all bank or investment accounts held in the name of the SLCCO, Inc., or in its behalf.
  • Ensure that all funds are deposited in any bank accounts opened for that purpose.
  • Be directly accountable to the General Members as well as indirectly through the President
  • Ensure that all funds transfers and expenditures are in accordance with policies approved by the General Members
  • Serve as Initial trustee for the SLCCO on whom due process shall be served
  • Prepare and submit a Treasurer’s report on all activities.
    Serves as second Alternate Trustee subsequent to incorporation and assist both the President and the Vice-President in providing information required by the State of Ohio and/or the Federal government or their agencies.
  • Preserve the confidential nature of all information relating to the SLCCO Inc., unless required to do otherwise by court of law or law enforcement agency
  • Hand over all documents and financial records to the President upon resignation, relocation or other event that shall make it impossible for the Treasurer to perform the duties of that office
  • Hand over the records to the Board of Trustees if a mass resignation of the Executive Committee involving the President should occur or the President be unavailable for an orderly transition to be feasible.
  • Hand over all documents to a new Treasurer elected at a general meeting.
  • Certifies that the President has authority to collect all documents in the custody of the same upon presentation of government issued ID.
  • Assumes the responsibilities of the financial secretary in his/her absence.
  • Hand over all documents and financial records to the President upon resignation, relocation or other event that shall make it impossible for the Treasurer to perform the duties of that office
    Hand over the records to the local Police if a mass resignation of the Executive Committee involving the President should occur or the President be unavailable for an orderly transition to be feasible
  • Hand over to a new Treasurer elected at a general meeting
    Inform the local police that the President of the SLCCO shall have authority to collect all documents in the custody of the same upon presentation of proper identification, such as a valid passport, or Ohio drivers license or other photo I.D. normally acceptable to the police or law enforcement agency for the establishment of proper identification
  • Issue pre-printed and numbered receipts for all payments received or made and shall maintain internal documentation to identify the transactions accordingly
